Useful Information
PE Days
Week A: Tuesday and Wednesday
Week B: Tuesday and Thursday
All children will take part in PE twice a week. Please send your child into school on a Monday with their PE kit which can then be taken home on a Friday to be washed for the following week. This will help to avoid confusion as to which days children need their kit in school. Previously, we were allowing the children to wear their kit to school on their PE day but we would like to go back to encouraging our children to get changed for their PE session as part of developing independence.

Reading
Children must bring in their signed reading record each day and take an AR quiz after each book they finish reading. They can do this in class on the class Kindles or at home on the Accelerated Reader website. Children can log in to MyOn to read a wide range of books with quizzes (linked to their AR account).
We will assess the children during the year to check their progress and to ensure they continue to read the right level text.

Homework
A homework grid can be found in the Curriculum & Homework section above. Please select a task and upload the work to Google Classroom or use the green homework book provided. Homework is due on Wednesday of each week.
Learning with Parents videos and activities will be released approximately every two weeks and links directly to the work the children are doing in maths in class.
Children must also log in to Times Tables Rock Stars.
Spellings will be sent home on Friday and tested the following week on a Friday. These will be in paper form.
Items from home
Please bring in your book bag, PE kit, a bottle of water and your lunch (unless you are having a school lunch). Please don't bring toys or other personal items.
