PSHCE

At Coppice our personal, social, health and citizens education (PSHCE) programme promotes children's personal, social and economic development, as well as their health and well-being.

It helps to give children the knowledge, skills and understanding they need to lead confident, healthy, independent lives and to become informed, active, responsible citizens. We are committed to promoting pupils' self-esteem and emotional well-being and help them to form and maintain worthwhile and satisfying relationships, based on respect for themselves and others, at home, at school and in the local community.

At Coppice, our school values: independence, collaboration, motivation, understanding, responsibility, cooperation and resilience are important factors to our PSHCE work. The  children’s well-being, happiness and safety are our first priority, and PSHCE is the key vehicle through which we share this with children. We regard PSHCE as an important, integral component of the whole curriculum and we weave PSHCE through a variety of lessons.
