Welcome to Year 4!

Mrs Richards and Mr Grech would like to extend a warm welcome back to Coppice for the start of the new year.

Please check this page regularly to see updates on all the exciting learning your child has been doing at school.

Useful Information

PE Days

Week A: Tuesday and Wednesday

Week B: Monday and Tuesday

All children will take part in PE twice a week. Please send your child into school wearing their PE kit on the day that they have PE so that we can spend as much time as possible engaging in the lessons.

Thank you for your support and understanding with this. ​

Reading

Children must bring in their signed reading record each day and take an AR quiz after each book they finish reading. They can do this in class on the class Kindles or at home on the Accelerated Reader website. 

We will assess the children during the year to check their progress and to ensure they continue to read the right level text.

Homework

A homework grid can be found in the Curriculum & Homework section above. Please select a task and complete it in the purple homework book provided. Homework is due on Wednesday of each week.

Children must also log in to Times Tables Rock Stars.

Spellings will be sent home on Friday and tested the following week on a Friday. These will be in paper form.

Items from home

Please bring in your book bag, a bottle of water and your lunch (unless you are having a school lunch). Please do not bring toys or other personal items.
